Body Odour, Sweat and Deodorants; A Thin Line Separates Them All -Learn More

Hello Everyone,

A happy new week to you, yes our week already got started but this is our first post for the week so I stay true when I say Greetings for the new week.
GLAMekizzle is aimed at giving you frequent everyday conversations and concerns on fitness, beauty and health that we would often discuss with friends, family and in our quiet time, have thoughts about the status of our fitness, beauty and health life. Today we will be looking at another sensitive topic, issues on health and beauty are always sensitive, Lol, so this of course won’t be a surprise but be ready to learn and learn and learn.

Body Odour from a person or from ourselves is very offensive and very unacceptable, it’s also a social flaw and shows very low hygiene standard in people.Like seriously how can one go about smelling so bad and feeling okay to actually step out of your home to bring chaos to people’s respiratory system. However, I have learnt through my daily job that some people don’t know they smell that bad and some who know they smell bad usually believe because they haven’t had a good shower and there are those who believe they should rather smell than expose theirselves to risk of health issues from using deodorants or anti-perspiration deodorants so to speak.
We will get to that but let’s learn more about Sweating simply because we all misguidedly point fingers and base our facts on Sweats as the reason why we smell or have body odours.

Sweating from the underarm (armpit) is perceived by some people as a function of the weather as well as the quality of material we put on. Some people feel when it’s the harmattan season or when they travel in the winter season, they don’t get to sweat as much as when it’s the dry and very humid weather condition.
Others also believe they sweat more when they wear a particular material and sweat less when they wear other types of clothing calling the former a cheaper quality material and the latter is probably the good quality one.
In all, sweating has been wrongfully called out as the major cause for body odour, now before we align both Body Odour and Sweating, let’s take a quick chat on Deodorants.

Anti-Perspirant Deodorants are used to stop both sweat and body Odour to the barest minimum. Now everyone falls into these 3 groups.

1. Those who believe the facts about deodorants and use them.
2. Those who believe in the myth; that deodorants causes sicknesses such as cancer.
3. Those who believe the facts about deodorants, who also know the myth and would still use deodorants.

I tell you its a funny world we live in, SMILES..but what are the facts about Deodorants?
We will go through all the 3 areas mentioned today and give answers to the clauses and questions asked, then we will lay out where the thin line between Body Odour, Sweating and Deodorants lies.

To be continued in the next post. But here’s a thinker for you or you can choose to share thoughts with someone; Who sweats more, men or women?  What area of the body do we sweat the most?  What are your thoughts on body odour?  What is your best known myth on deodorants?  What do you use daily to stop body odour and sweating?

Please drop all your comments and questions cause there is so much more to come.
