Hello Kizzle Readers,
Happy new week to you and welcome back to our everyday great learning and sharing of Fitness, Health and Beauty expository write ups here on GLAMekizzle.
This week is a Fitness and Health week which we are very big on, we’ll do well in providing a very interesting and engaging piece in aspiration that we all learn and improve our Fitness and Health lives.
Few days ago I returned late from a business trip and I went straight into the kitchen cause o was famished, few minutes later my cousin comes out and was worried about me in his opinion breaking Fitness rules. I had rice with cooked vegetables and fruits at about 10:45pm and I sure enjoyed my meal but he was somewhat worried about whether or not that was the right “Fit-thing” to do and ofcourse I smiled and saw in a few minutes conversation such great inspiration for this week’s post.
There is a believe that eating meals later than 6pm can make you add weight or increase belly fat or it’s generally not healthy. That’s such a strong believe that when one often tries to educate people otherwise he or she tend to appear as unknowledgeable of the discussion….Big Sigh.
Having late night meals or snacks cannot cause you to add weight so long as you are not exceeding the required calories for the day based on your fitness goal.
I mean come to think of it, late night hunger feelings are not things you can easily control and for most people they are not totally under your control. So you have evening food taken by 6pm at the latest based on the popular timing of meals but then 2-3hours after that you feel hungry, this could be as a result of high metabolism you have or maybe you had not enough to keep you filled. Now the big question comes, “Should I eat something or Should I Just go to bed?”. In all honesty there is no absolute answer to this question, it all depends on you health and fitness goal/status but I would so well have a great meal simply because late night meals don’t increase your weight so I won’t avoid meals at night when the need arises all for the sake of not trying to put on more weight….right now I even need the weight so why not anyway.
However, factually speaking monitor your required daily calories intake and it is not unhealthy to have late night meals because it won’t at any point in time make you add more weight but that doesn’t mean we should all go on a food consumption spree and just eat away our hearts simply because why Increased Body Weight may not be a problem, indigestion, pain and discomfort can be a worse problem in comparison. These issues can also affect breakfast for the following day because you feel stuffed-up and also affects metabolism which can be so discomforting to the point where you can’t have a good night rest to relax the body,- another imperative factor for a Fit life.
So my dear Kizzle readers, find a balance, study your body and know what your limits are. When the need to have more intake for the night surfaces by all means do, cause holding off also causes discomfort and not giving you a cheerful sound sleep.
Furthermore, you can also have a bit more to eat during the last meal of the day to avoid been hungry later in the evening/night. If you are to eat though later in the evening or night ensure its a balanced diet containing protein, high-fiber carbohydrates, lots of vegetables and fruits. Then again if you are a sweet-tooth craving snacks like ice cream and chocolate please feel free to enjoy but ensure it falls within the daily calories intake you need.
At the end of the battle please do drink water and brush your teeth before going to bed. Fitness, Health and Beauty are really close relatives and share lots of secrets together, you don’t want your imbalance across the 3 tiers be the topic of discussion all the time….SMILES.
Have a great week and stay winning!!!
